The Book
"Something's got to be done about it!" When a young teddy bear discovers that his parents have no pension, that his girl friend is overworked in hospital and that children cannot play cricket in Dudbury (Britain's most boring town), he decides to become a Membear of Parliament...
"I have played cricket with Richard Heller. This book is as playful as his bowling and unique as his batting. I hope it drums up interest in politics and cricket alike."
Rt Hon David Miliband MP, Foreign Secretary
"I was delighted to learn that the book was designed and printed in my constituency of Witney. I am also delighted that all sales of this book will be helping Chance to shine which does so much to promote cricket and achievement in schools. I take this opportunity to wish the book well, and hope that it will tell children something about our democratic system and how they can take part in it."
Rt Hon David Cameron MP, Leader of the Opposition
"Utterly charming"
Baroness Boothroyd OM, former Speaker of the House of Commons
"I must say that I am relieved that he has withdrawn his challenge for the leadership of my party. His campaign biography Membear Of Parliament shows that he is a formidable campaigner - a bear who rejects sat-nav politics and plans his own route into Parliament. The book has a message to children in how they can get involved in Britain's democratic system - and a message to all politicians not to ignore them."
Nick Clegg MP, Liberal Democrat leadership contender

Like Harry Bear he plays for the Lords and Commons cricket team, but as a would-be swing bowler who moves the ball both ways off the bat. He has also been a columnist on The Mail On Sunday and The Times, a runner-up in BBC Television's Mastermind, and a Hollywood screenwriter.
His other books include A Tale Of Ten Wickets, a well-reviewed novel about a weekend cricket team (also available from Bearmondsey Publishing) and High Impact Speeches, an indispensable book on public speaking, published by Prentice Hall Business.
